Our All-Important Financial Deadline Is In 15 Days, And Our Campaign Is Counting On A Major Miracle

Tonight, I am writing this from my little office where I have spent more time than anywhere else over the past six years.  During the day, I can look out the window and see snow-capped mountain peaks all the way on the other side of the valley.  Life is so simple and so beautiful here, and in my wildest dreams I never imagined that our nice, quiet life would be interrupted by a run for Congress.  But then that fateful day in May arrived, and life hasn’t been the same for Meranda and I ever since.

Whoever ultimately wins this race is not just going to be making decisions that affect Idaho.  The decisions that members of Congress make affect every man, woman and child in the entire country, and that means that whoever wins this race is going to be making decisions that have a direct impact on your life no matter where you live.

Unfortunately, if I don’t win this race someone really bad will almost certainly take this seat.  For example, one of the leading candidates is currently a member of the state legislature, and he has a voting record that is so bad that it was once given an “F-“ grade by the Idaho Freedom Foundation.

Yes, you read that correctly.

I didn’t even know that you could get below an “F” grade.  For the most recent session, his vote index score was 42.3 out of 100.  This was the lowest score for any Republican, and there were actually only four Democrats that had a voting record that was as bad or worse than his.

The other member of the state legislature that has entered this race is almost nearly as bad. Her vote index score for the most recent session was 54.3, and she is widely known to be an extremely liberal Republican.

I once wondered why the Lord would lead me to enter this race, but now it is becoming crystal clear.  If I don’t win, this seat will almost certainly be won by one of these RINOs, and we cannot allow that to happen.

December 31st is the most important financial deadline that our campaign is facing so far.  Last week I explained that we desperately need to raise $ 30,000 by the end of December, and only a couple thousand dollars has come in so far.  I know that most people are entirely focused on the holidays this time of the year, but I cannot stress hard enough how much we need your help right now.  During the first three months of 2018, Republican organizations all over the country will decide who they are going to back in this race, and it is absolutely imperative that we have good numbers to report to them.  If you would like to make a donation to the campaign, you can do so at this link

https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/contribute.html

Of the six candidates in this race, at this point we are projecting that we will come in either fourth or fifth in fundraising this quarter at our current pace.

That would be a disaster.

According to virtually every other measurement, we are absolutely crushing our competition in this race.  We are reaching the most voters, we have more campaign website traffic than anyone else, we are destroying our opponents on social media, and we received more votes in the most recent online poll than all of the other candidates combined.

But if we don’t finish in the top three in fundraising this quarter, top Republicans on the national level aren’t going to care about any of that.

In fact, I know exactly what they are going to say to me when I talk to them.

They are going to say that I had a nice start, but that I wasn’t able to raise enough money to take it across the finish line.

This is literally our last chance to impress Republicans on the national level.  The next report after this one won’t come out until just over a month before the election, and that will be way too late.

I need everyone that believes in this campaign to stand with us now.  There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of people that have volunteered or donated so far, and we cannot let them down.  If you would like to become a part of the team, you can donate online right here

https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/contribute.html

Earlier this evening, Meranda and I attended a celebration in town.  Everyone there was so excited about our race for Congress, and that was very encouraging to see.  At one point someone asked me for a yard sign, but I had to admit that we don’t have one to give him right now.  Demand for campaign materials has been crazy, and we are starting to run out of just about everything.

So we need to print up more signs, more brochures and more mailers.  More than 800,000 people live in this district, and we need to get our message to every single one of them if we hope to win.

Can you imagine how much it costs to reach 800,000 people?

Without your help, we are not going to be able to do that.  Would you help us print the campaign materials that we desperately need?  The donation limit per campaign cycle is $ 2,700 per person.  That means that a husband and a wife can collectively donate $ 5,400.  If just one couple was willing to help us at that level, we would be able to print up all of the materials that we currently need

https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/contribute.html

Right now we are actually offering a free bumper sticker to any voter in our district that wants one.  It is a great way to spread the word about the campaign, and it doesn’t cost a lot to print them up.  We are able to get things done much cheaper than other campaigns are able to, and I am blessed to be working with people that can stretch one dollar into four or five.

Even though a couple of the other campaigns have raised more money than us so far, nobody else can match what we are doing, and we want to take things to the next level.  But we need resources in order to do that, and this is such a critical time.

Over the next few weeks, this race is really going to take shape.  It is absolutely imperative that we are considered one of the leading contenders, and with your help we can get there.

I have been told that the only way that we can lose this race is if someone else raises much more money than us.  So far, nobody in this race has been able to raise much money, and that has given us time to get our act together.

Fundraising is new to me, and I am sure that if I was willing to be dishonest that I could do so much better.  All I know how to do is to tell you the truth and hope that you will support what we are trying to do.

This is our campaign, and we literally have people from coast to coast that are praying for us.  Please pray for blessing, protection and that God’s will would be done.  And if you would like to bless our campaign financially, we would greatly, greatly appreciate the help

https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/contribute.html

I wish that I could sit down with you in your living room and show you how close to victory we are.  Things are looking so much brighter for our campaign than they were a couple of months ago, and we now have a campaign team that literally stretches from the very top county in the state to the very bottom county in the state.

But this is still very much a wide open race.  Since Raul Labrador is running for governor, there is no incumbent, and there are six of us that are running to replace him.  The numbers tell us that name recognition and voter support for the other five candidates is very low, and most voters are still in the “undecided” category.

We need to reach those undecided voters before the other guys are able to.  We know exactly how to do that, and we just need the fuel in our tanks to be able to get that done.  If you were ever going to give to the campaign, now is the time

https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/contribute.html

If we are able to raise the rest of the $ 30,000 that we desperately need by the end of December, I will be absolutely floored.

My team is counting on a major miracle, and I don’t want to let them down.

We have only 15 days until our most important deadline so far, and we feel like we are way out on a limb.

But God can make a way where there seems to be no way, and we know that with God all things are possible.

So we will just share the fact that we really need your help to meet our deadline, and we will trust that God will move in the hearts of those that are supposed to support us.

I would like to thank everyone that has gotten involved in the campaign so far.  Together, we have already done what others said was impossible, and next May we are going to absolutely shock the world.

Major Scandal: U.S. Congressman Says That There Was A ‘Concerted Effort’ Within The FBI To Help Hillary Clinton Win The Election

Did the FBI attempt to swing the outcome of the 2016 election in a certain direction?  I know that question sounds completely outrageous, but this is exactly what one member of Congress is now claiming.  For a long time we have known that elements within the Deep State have been actively working to undermine the Trump administration, but now solid evidence is emerging that the interference by the Deep State actually began during the presidential election.  As more details come out, this could easily become one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history.

If you think that I am exaggerating, please consider what U.S. Representative Jim Jordan told Lou Dobbs just the other day

Rep. Jim Jordan: Listen you can’t make this stuff up. It gets worse each and every day… What deep down scares me, if this actually happened the FBI had a concerted effort with the people at the top to go after one party’s nominee to help the other party’s nominee. If that actually happened in the United States of America and everything each and every day points to more and more likely that that is what took place, it is sad for our country if that took place. And I think it did based on everything I am seeing. All the evidence points to that.

You can watch Jordan making these comments on YouTube right here

So what kind of evidence are we talking about?

Well, I am sure that Jordan has access to evidence that we currently do not, but one thing that we do have are extremely chilling text messages sent between FBI agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page.  The following comes from Paul Joseph Watson

Amidst the 10,000 text messages sent between anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page is a bizarre exchange revealing how the two, almost certainly with Deputy FBI Director Andy McCabe, discussed an “insurance policy” in case Donald Trump won the presidential election.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok wrote to his mistress, adding, “It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

Strzok needs to be brought before Congress as soon as possible so that he can explain exactly what he meant in those messages.  Because there is no way that an FBI agent should ever make statements like that, and even those in the liberal media are saying that this “looks very bad”

What kind of “insurance policy” were high level members of the FBI discussing to prevent Trump from winning the election less than three months before it took place?

As the Daily Beast’s Lachlan Markay, hardly a Trump cheerleader, notes, “This looks very bad.”

As Congress digs into this scandal, I would expect more shocking details to emerge.

It is imperative to remember that the establishment absolutely loathes Trump.  The hate everything that he stands for, and they are not willing to wait around until the 2020 election in order to get rid of him.

For the establishment, the goal is to personally destroy Trump and the movement that he represents.  In the past, it would have been unthinkable for television news anchors to talk hopefully about the possibility of the president and his team going to jail, but that is precisely what happened on MSNBC just a few days ago…

As the “noose” of Robert Mueller’s probe into the Trump team’s contacts with Russia is “tightening,” members of the administration are starting to understand they’re going “to jail … for the rest of their lives,” MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said Tuesday.

“Knowing them, I think they’re shocked that the noose is tightening,” Brzezinski said. “I don’t know if they were arrogant or incredibly un-self aware and really dumb about what the job was about, how important it was, and how under the microscope every move you made would be. I think they just thought they’d go in there and riff through it. And I think they’re shocked that the noose is tightening and that people might go to jail.”

“You’re exactly right,” her co-host and fiancé, Joe Scarborough, agreed.

“For the rest of their lives,” Brzezinski added, perhaps hopefully.

President Trump is not going to prison, and the entire Russian collusion investigation is a giant witch hunt.

Everyone knows this, but the establishment is so desperate to get rid of Trump that they will grasp at anything that even sounds remotely plausible.

And at this point, the entire Republican Party has become fair game for the psychopaths at MSNBC.  For example, during one recent segment Democratic pollster Fernand Amandi actually referred to the GOP as “a domestic terror group”

“And I think Joy, this is emblematic, this CHIP scenario, where you mentioned 9 million children, children, without health insurance. I think if you take a step back, one has to ask themselves, and I think the American people should ask themselves the broader question, what has the Republican Party, in the last 10 years, done to help the American people? What have they done? This is not a political party. This is a domestic terror group.

This kind of hateful rhetoric has got to stop.

Does Amandi really believe that Republicans should be rounded up and put in prison?  Because that is what happens to people that commit acts of domestic terror.

Or maybe he would like to see us all shipped off to Guantanamo Bay.  It is this sort of tyrannical thinking by the radical left that resulted in tens of millions of deaths in Stalin’s Russia and Mao’s China.

We are literally locked in a battle for the future of this nation, and if we lose, things are not just going to go bad for Trump and other high level members of the Republican Party.

If we ultimately lose this struggle, it will be a nightmare for all of us that truly love liberty and freedom, and America as we know it today will cease to exist.

We Have Tripled The Number Of Store Closings From Last Year, And 20 Major Retailers Have Closed At Least 50 Stores In 2017

Did you know that the number of retail store closings in 2017 has already tripled the number from all of 2016?  Last year, a total of 2,056 store locations were closed down, but this year more than 6,700 stores have been shut down so far.  That absolutely shatters the all-time record for store closings in a single year, and yet nobody seems that concerned about it.  In 2008, an all-time record 6,163 retail stores were shuttered, and we have already surpassed that mark by a very wide margin.  We are facing an unprecedented retail apocalypse, and as you will see below, the number of retail store closings is actually supposed to be much higher next year.

Whenever the mainstream media reports on the retail apocalypse, they always try to put a positive spin on the story by blaming the growth of Amazon and other online retailers.  And without a doubt that has had an impact, but at this point online shopping still accounts for less than 10 percent of total U.S. retail sales.

Look, Amazon didn’t just show up to the party.  They have been around for many, many years and while it is true that they are growing, they still only account for a very small sliver of the overall retail pie.

So those that would like to explain away this retail apocalypse need to come up with a better explanation.

As I noted in the headline, there are 20 different major retail chains that have closed at least 50 stores so far this year.  The following numbers originally come from Fox Business

1. Abercrombie & Fitch: 60 stores
2. Aerosoles: 88 stores
3. American Apparel: 110 stores
4. BCBG: 118 stores
5. Bebe: 168 stores
6. The Children’s Place: hundreds of stores to be closed by 2020
7. CVS: 70 stores
8. Guess: 60 stores
9. Gymboree: 350 stores
10. HHgregg: 220 stores
11. J.Crew: 50 stores
12. JC Penney: 138 stores
13. The Limited: 250 stores
14. Macy’s: 68 stores
15. Michael Kors: 125 stores
16. Payless: 800 stores
17. RadioShack: more than 1,000 stores
18. Rue21: up to 400 stores
19. Sears/Kmart: more than 300 stores
20. Wet Seal: 171 stores

If the U.S. economy was really doing well, then why are all of these major retailers closing down locations?

Of course the truth is that the economy is not doing well.  The U.S. economy has not grown by at least 3 percent in a single year since the middle of the Bush administration, and it isn’t going to happen this year either.  Overall, the U.S. economy has grown by an average of just 1.33 percent over the last 10 years, and meanwhile U.S. stock prices are up about 250 percent since the end of the last recession.  The stock market has become completely and utterly disconnected from economic reality, and yet many Americans still believe that it is an accurate barometer for the health of the economy.

I used to do a Black Friday article every year, but I have ended that tradition.  Yes, there were still a few scuffles this year, but at this point the much bigger story is how poorly the retailers are doing.

So far this year, more than 300 retailers have filed for bankruptcy, and we are currently on pace to lose over 147 million square feet of retail space by the end of 2017.

Those are absolutely catastrophic numbers.

And some analysts are already predicting that as many as 9,000 stores could be shut down in the United States in 2018.

Are we just going to keep blaming Amazon every time another retail chain goes belly up?

What we should really be focusing on is the fact that the “retail bubble” is starting to burst.  In the aftermath of the last financial crisis, retailers went on an unprecedented debt binge, and now a lot of that debt is starting to go bad.

In fact, in a previous article I discussed the fact that “the amount of high-yield retail debt that will mature next year is approximately 19 times larger than the amount that matured this year”.  This is going to have very serious implications on Wall Street, but very few people are really talking about this.

Most stores try to stay open through Christmas, but once the holiday season is over we will see another huge wave of store closings.

And as individual stores close down, this will put a lot of financial pressure on malls and shopping centers.  Not too long ago, one report projected that up to 25 percent of all shopping malls in the entire nation could close down by 2022, but I tend to think that number is too optimistic.

The retail industry in the United States is dying, and the biggest reason for that is not Amazon.

Rather, the real reason why the retail industry is in so much trouble is because of the steady decline of the middle class.  The gap between the ultra-wealthy and the rest of us is greater than ever, and we can clearly see the impact of this in the retail world.

Retailers that serve the very wealthy are generally doing well, and those that serve the other end of the food chain (such as dollar stores and Wal-Mart) are also doing okay.

But virtually all of the retailers that depend on middle class shoppers are really struggling, and this is going to continue for the foreseeable future.

Most American families are either living paycheck to paycheck or are close to that level, and these days U.S. consumers simply do not have much discretionary income to play around with.  More hard working Americans are going to fall out of the middle class with each passing month, and that is extremely bad news for a retail industry that is literally falling apart right in front of our eyes.

As America Gives Thanks, Homelessness Continues To Set New Records In Major Cities All Over The Nation

If the economy is doing just fine, then why is homelessness at levels not seen “since the Great Depression” in major cities all over the country?  If the U.S. economy was actually in good shape, we would expect that the number of people that are homeless would be going down or at least stabilizing.  Instead, we have a growing national crisis on our hands.  In fact, within the past two years “at least 10 cities or municipal regions in California, Oregon and Washington” have declared a state of emergency because the number of homeless is growing so rapidly.

Things are particularly bad in southern California, and this year the Midnight Mission will literally be feeding a small army of people that have nowhere to sleep at night…

Thanksgiving meals will be served to thousands of homeless and near-homeless individuals today on Skid Row and in Pasadena and Canoga Park amid calls for donations and volunteers for the rest of the year.

The Midnight Mission will serve Thanksgiving brunch to nearly 2,500 homeless and near-homeless men, women and children, according to Georgia Berkovich, its director of public affairs.

Overall, the Midnight Mission serves more than a million meals a year, and Berkovich says that homelessness hasn’t been this bad in southern California “since the Great Depression”

Berkovich said the group has been serving nearly 1 million meals a year each year since 2013.

“We haven’t seen numbers like this since the Great Depression,” she said.

And of course the official numbers confirm what Berkovich is claiming.  According to an article published earlier this year, the number of homeless people living in Los Angeles County has never been higher…

The number of homeless people in Los Angeles has jumped to a new record, as city officials grapple with a humanitarian crisis of proportions remarkable for a modern American metropolis.

Municipal leaders said that a recent count over several nights found 55,188 homeless people living in a survey region comprising most of Los Angeles County, up more than 25% from last year.

If the California economy is truly doing well, then why is this happening?

We see the same thing happening when we look at the east coast.  Just check out these numbers from New York City

In recent years the number of homeless people has grown. Whereas rents increased by 18% between 2005 and 2015, incomes rose by 5%. When Rudy Giuliani entered City Hall in 1994, 24,000 people lived in shelters. About 31,000 lived in them when Mike Bloomberg became mayor in 2002. When Bill de Blasio entered City Hall in 2014, 51,500 did. The number of homeless people now in shelters is around 63,000.

For New York, this is the highest that the homeless population has been since the Great Depression, and city leaders are trying to come up with a solution.

Meanwhile, things are so bad in Seattle that “400 unauthorized tent camps” have popped up…

Housing prices are soaring here thanks to the tech industry, but the boom comes with a consequence: A surge in homelessness marked by 400 unauthorized tent camps in parks, under bridges, on freeway medians and along busy sidewalks. The liberal city is trying to figure out what to do.

Are you noticing a theme?

Homelessness is at epidemic levels all over the U.S., and this crisis is getting worse with each passing day.  Some communities are trying to care for their growing homeless populations, but others are simply trying to force them to go somewhere else.  They are doing this by essentially making it illegal to be homeless.  In some cities it is now a crime to engage in “public camping”, to “block a walkway” or to create any sort of “temporary structure for human habitation”.  These laws specifically target the homeless, and they are very cruel.

Many of us tend to picture the homeless as mostly lazy older men that don’t want to work and that instead want to drink or do drugs all day.

But the truth is that women and children make up a significant percentage of the homeless.  In fact, the number of homeless children in our country has increased by about 60 percent since the end of the last recession.

And there are thousands upon thousands of military veterans that are homeless.  For example, a 34-year-old man named Johnny that served in the Marine Corps recently used his last 20 dollars to buy fuel for a woman that had run out of gas and was stranded along I-95 in Miami

Pulled over on the side of I-95, McClure, 27, was approached by a homeless man named Johnny. She was apprehensive at first, but Johnny told her to get back into her car and to lock the doors while he walked to get her help. He went to a nearby gas station, used his last $ 20 fill a can and brought it back to fill up her car.

Grateful, but without a dollar to repay him, McClure promised she would come back with something.

In the weeks since, she’s returned to the spot along I-95 where Johnny stays with cash, snacks and Wawa gift cards. Each time she’s stopped by with her boyfriend, Mark D’Amico, they’ve learned a bit more about Johnny’s story, and become humbled by his gratitude.

Deciding that they wanted to do even more for Johnny, they started a GoFundMe page for him and have since raised approximately $ 250,000.

So it looks like there is going to be a happy ending to Johnny’s story, but the truth is that more people are falling into homelessness with each passing day.

If things are this bad now, how much worse will they become as the economy really starts slowing down?  Already, we have shattered the all-time yearly record for retail store closings, and we still have more than a month to go.  The following is from a CNN article entitled “Is This The Last Black Friday?”

A record number of store closures — 6,735 — have already been announced this year. That’s more than triple the tally for 2016, according to Fung Global Retail and Technology, a retail think tank.

And there have been 620 bankruptcies in the sector so far this year, according to BankruptcyData.com, up 31% from the same period last year. Prominent names such as Toys R Us, Gymboree, Payless Shoes and RadioShack have all filed this year, and Sears Holdings (SHLD), which owns both the iconic Sears and Kmart chains, has warned there is “substantial doubt” it can remain in business.

Sadly, analysts are projecting that the number of store closings could be as high as 9,000 next year.

Yes, there are some areas of the country that are doing well right now, but there are many others that are not.

Let us always remember to have compassion on those that are struggling, because someday we may be the ones that end up needing some help.

Major Long- and Short-Term Turning Point Ahead

First things first: My new book is out on November 15, just one month after our annual Irrational Economic Summit which starts this Thursday. It’s called Zero Hour: Turn the Greatest Political and Financial Crisis in Modern History to Your Advantage.

So, when I take the stage in the conference center at the Nashville Airport Marriot hotel at 1:25 p.m. local time (central), I’ll give attendees and LIVE Stream viewers a sneak preview of the most important points of the book.

And my co-author, Andrew Pancholi, who spoke to acclaim at our last IES conference, will be back again as well. He’ll be elaborating on the major long- and short-term turning point that he sees on the cards right now.

Here’s the key insight: Three revolutionary cycles are converging for the first time since the late 1700s, when we saw the emergence of democracy and free-market capitalism, the steam engine, and the Industrial Revolution

I’ve been warning about a 250-year cycle for many years, but Andy’s two additional cycles reinforce this even more.

Just look at this chart:

Harbingers RevolutionOh, do Andy and I have a lot to say about the implications of these cycles in the critical next few years and for decades to follow.

And did you know that globalization has peaked and could see decades of retrenchment ahead?

Brexit and Trump are only the beginnings of the backlash.

After the first great surge, global trade declined 60% between 1913 and 1945 – WWI, the Great Depression, and WWII.

Then there’s the never-ending bubble that keeps chugging ahead despite one bad news event after the next…

Well, it’s starting to look very toppy.

In the short term, stock patterns are looking ominous, just when Andy has his largest turn point signal ever later this month… and you have to hear about his unique short-term model.

Look at this chart of a rising bearish wedge since February 2016, which was accelerated by the Trump Rally (which we confirmed in early November) that seems to be coming to an end.

Dow Jones

The classic sign of a top is that the small caps start underperforming the large ones as the dumb money rushes into the big-name companies. Well, that’s not happening yet. But another sign is a rising wedge that is steep and becomes more and more narrow. This occurred for junk bonds in 2013, when we called the top to the day.

There are two likely scenarios ahead, which I’ll discuss on Thursday, but I’ll tell you now that we’re likely finally seeing a topping process between now and January.

So, in the short term, beware.

Over the next decade or two, brace for the greatest political and social revolution since the advent of democracy itself.

A 240-year bull market is peaking and the reset should be the greatest we’ve seen in modern history – as was the boom. This revolution will set the stage for the next long-term bull market that will urbanize and modernize the entire world.

See you in Nashville.

Another Major Disaster Hits The U.S. – A Massive ‘Firestorm’ Is Burning Tens Of Thousands Of Acres In Northern California

The nation is still reeling from a series of major disasters in recent weeks, and now another one has hit us.  At this moment, an enormous “firestorm” is consuming tens of thousands of acres in eight counties in northern California. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are rapidly driving 15 large wildfires across Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Yuba, Nevada, Calaveras and Butte counties, and the devastation that is taking place is being described as “like Armageddon”.  Ultimately, it looks like this is going to be one of the worst months for wildfires in the history of the state, and all of this comes on the heels of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma and the Las Vegas shooting.  Ever since late August, it seems like all hell has broken loose in America.

So far at least 1,500 structures have been destroyed, at least 20,000 people have been evacuated and at least 73,000 acres have been burned.  The smell of smoke has reached San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco, and California Governor Jerry Brown has officially declared a state of emergency.

If these wildfires were just consuming isolated parts of northern California, this wouldn’t be such a big story.  The reason why this crisis is getting so much attention from the national media is because some of these fires are raging “unchecked through high-end resorts, grocery stores and tree-lined neighborhoods”

More than a dozen wildfires whipped by powerful winds swept through California wine country Monday, destroying at least 1,500 homes and businesses and sending thousands fleeing as flames raged unchecked through high-end resorts, grocery stores and tree-lined neighborhoods.

As he fled through the ember-stewn streets of his neighborhood in Santa Rosa, Jeff Okrepkie knew it was probably the last time he would see his home of the past five years standing.

His worst fears were confirmed Monday morning, when a friend sent him a photo of what was left: a smoldering heap of burnt metal and debris.

Could you imagine how helpless you would feel if you were forced to evacuate and you knew that your home and everything that you owned was about to be consumed by fire?

That is what thousands of northern Californians are facing right now.  In fact, many are getting out with so little time to spare that they can literally feel the heat from the flames as they drive away

“It was an inferno like you’ve never seen before,” said Marian Williams, who caravanned with neighbors before dawn as one of the wildfires reached the vineyards and ridges at her small Sonoma County town of Kenwood.

Ms Williams could feel the heat of her fire through the car as she fled. “Trees were on fire like torches,” she said.

At this point, Santa Rosa appears to be getting hit worse than just about anywhere else.

According to Cal Fire director Ken Pimlott, one major neighborhood within the city has already been completely destroyed

When winds pushed the Tubbs fire into Santa Rosa on Sunday night, it created “a firestorm within a city,” Cal Fire director Ken Pimlott said.

“It’s fair to say it’s been destroyed,” Pimlot said of Santa Rosa’s Fountaingrove neighborhood. Hotels, a big box store and a high school burned as the flames danced around the 101 Freeway.

“Late last night starting around 10 o’clock you had 50-60 mph winds that surfaced — really across the whole northern half of the state,” he said. “Every spark is going to ignite.”

Authorities are telling us that the big box store that was destroyed was a Kmart, and the hotel that was burned to the ground was a Hilton.  But even more disturbing was what happened to Journey’s End retirement community

In Santa Rosa, the fire gutted a Hilton hotel and flattened the Journey’s End retirement community, a trailer park not far from the freeway that crosses the city. Most of the trailers were leveled, leaving a smoldering debris field of household appliances, filing cabinets and the charred personal effects of more than 100 residents. Pieces of ash fell like snowflake flurries, and a pall of white smoke across the city blotted out the sun.

Insurance will cover the Kmart and the Hilton, but it is probably fair to say that a lot of the people living in that trailer park did not have adequate coverage.

Sadly, many of them will now be forced to start over with essentially nothing.

I don’t know if you have noticed, but wildfires are becoming a much bigger problem than they used to be.  We were already not too far behind the record pace that was set in 2015, and if this month continues to be really bad we could potentially set the all-time national record for number of acres burned in a single year by the end of 2017.

As I discuss in my brand new book entitled “Living A Life That Really Matters”, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable.  And for those living in the state of California, I would be extremely concerned about all of the shaking that we have been witnessing along the North American portion of the “Ring of Fire” lately.  The experts assure us that we are way overdue for “the Big One”, and when it happens it is going to be the worst disaster in the modern history of the state.

But hopefully things will start to settle down for at least a little while in our nation, because we have been put through quite a lot lately.  After Harvey, Irma, Las Vegas and now these California wildfires, we could definitely use some time to recover.

And if you happen to live in northern California, we would love to hear from you.  Please feel free to tell us what is going on in your area by posting a comment below…

Campaign Update: 3 Major Events And The All-Important September 30th Deadline Within The Next 14 Days

We are entering do or die time for my campaign for Congress, and if you are interested in helping the campaign we really need to hear from you.  As I have discussed in previous emails, we have created an enormous amount of buzz all over Idaho’s first congressional district, and everywhere we go we are converting voters over to our side.  If we can get this message out to everyone in the district effectively, we will definitely win.  So in order to do that, I am traveling all over the state holding events, and you can find out the details about three big ones coming up below.  We also have our all-important FEC fundraising deadline coming up on September 30th, and if anyone out there was considering contributing to the campaign, now is definitely a key time to do so.  Big conservative organizations all over the nation will be evaluating the strength of our campaign based on the numbers we report, and they will make decisions on whether to fund us or not based on how well we do.  We really need your help, and if you can possibly do so, I would like to ask you to donate to the campaign today

https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/contribute.html

We also have three big campaign events coming up.  The first is at Athol Baptist Church on September 18th at 7 PM.  People will be coming up from Couer d’Alene and coming over from places such as Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry, and we are hoping to pack the place out.  And we are also hoping to gather as many of our volunteers from all over north Idaho as possible so we can start to get organized in a major way.

Below I have reproduced the campaign email that we just sent out.  This email list is the primary way that we keep everyone up to date on the campaign, and so if you would like to stay in the loop please go to https://www.michaelsnyderforcongress.com/ and sign up to get the emails.  As you can see from this example, we sure do have a whole lot going on…

Hi Everyone,

Things sure have been busy in the campaign!

1. First, we’d love to see you at our next three events this month if you live nearby!

On Monday, Sept. 18th @ 7pm we’ll be holding a community event at the Baptist Church in Athol, Idaho.

On Tuesday, Sept. 19th @ 6pm, I will be speaking to the Idaho County Republican Central Committee. It’s open to the public!

On Tuesday, Sept. 26th @ 7pm I will be in Boise enjoying a fun mixer with voters from across the area! It will be held at the Smokey Mountain Pizzeria.

2. Our entirely grassroots campaign is growing rapidly! We need committed volunteers to step forward and take on leadership roles across the state/district 1. Sign up here.

3. At the end of September, we must file paperwork disclosing our total contribution amount.

…this is key, because everyone judges your “viability” as a candidate based on this filing.

If you’re in a position to do so, please donate to our worthy cause!

We are 100% funded by you! Whether it’s $ 1 or $ 1,000…it all helps!

We made a short, simple video sharing our first billboard up in the district, which is all thanks to YOU! You can watch it here.

This is just one example of what we’ve been able to do with your support. Ultimately, the Lord’s will be done! If it is His will that I go to Congress, it will happen.

In Liberty,

Michael Snyder

Apocalyptic September? Here Is A List Of 27 Major Disasters That Have Already Happened So Far This Month

Two major hurricanes, unprecedented earthquake swarms and wildfires roaring out of control all over the northwest United States – what else will go wrong next?  When I originally pointed to the month of September as a critical time, I had no idea that we would see so many catastrophic natural disasters during this time frame as well.  Hurricane Harvey just broke the all-time record for rainfall in the continental United States, Hurricane Irma is so immensely powerful that it has been called “a lawnmower from the sky”, vast stretches of our country out west are literally being consumed by fire, and the magnitude-8.2 earthquake that just hit Mexico was completely unexpected.  As I have stated so many times before, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, but most people simply do not understand what is happening.

My good friend Zach Drew is getting married next month, and I would encourage everyone to go wish him well on Facebook.  On Friday, he posted the best summary of the major disasters that we have been experiencing so far this month that I have seen anywhere…

California is on fire.
Oregon is on fire.
Washington is on fire.
British Columbia is on fire.
Alberta is on fire
Montana is on fire.
Nova Scotia is on fire.
Greece is on fire.
Brazil is on fire.
Portugal is on fire.
Algeria is on fire.
Tunisia is on fire.
Greenland is on fire.
The Sakha Republic of Russia is on fire.
Siberia is on fire.

Texas is under water
India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, experience record monsoons and massive death toll.
Sierra Leone and Niger experience massive floods, mudslides, and deaths in the thousands.

Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia are crushed in the death grip of a triple digit heat wave, dubbed Lucifer.
Southern California continues to swelter under triple digit heat that shows no sign of letting up.
In usually chilly August, the city of San Francisco shatters all-time record at 106 degrees, while it reaches 115 degrees south of the city. Northern California continues to bake in the triple digits.

(()) Yellowstone volcano is hit with earthquake swarm of over 2,300 tremors since June, recording a 4.4 quake on June 15, 20017 and 3.3 shaker on August 21, 2017.
(()) 5.3 earthquake rumbles through Idaho
(()) Japan earthquake 6.1 possible tsunami..
(()) Mexico earthquake 8.2 imminent tsunami. Beach lines are receded atleast 50+ meters

Hurricanes Harvey, Irma (biggest ever recorded), Jose and Katia are barreling around the Atlantic with 8 more potentials forming

And last but not least an X10 C.M.E solar flare two nights ago. The highest recorded solar flare ever!

Some are describing what is happening to us as a “perfect storm”, and they are wondering if even more major disasters are coming in the very near future.

Let us hope not, because there is a tremendous amount of concern that we may not be able to pay for the disasters that have happened already.  The following comes from Politico

Harvey and Irma could be a breaking point. At $ 556 billion, the Houston metropolitan area’s economy is bigger than Sweden’s. New Jersey could easily fit inside the region’s sprawling footprint, where Harvey dumped 34 trillion gallons of water, as much as the three costliest floods in Texas history combined. The Harvey response alone eventually could double the $ 136 billion in government aid spent after Hurricane Katrina flooded New Orleans.

And as of Friday, an estimated $ 1.73 trillion worth of real estate was in the path of Irma’s hurricane-force winds, according to the University of Wisconsin’s Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies.

We won’t know the true extent of the damage that has been caused down in Florida for many days, but we do know that much of the state is already without power…

More than 3.3 million homes and businesses and counting have lost power in Florida as Hurricane Irma moves up the peninsula. The widespread outages stretch from the Florida Keys all the way into central Florida. Florida Power & Light, the state’s largest electric utility, said there were nearly 1 million customers without power in Miami-Dade County alone. The power outages are expected to increase as the storm edges further north. There are roughly 7 million residential customers in the state.

In the end, the federal government will likely step in and spend a lot of money that it does not have to rebuild and restore the communities that Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma have destroyed.

But we are already 20 trillion dollars in debt, and it is being projected that we will continue to add another trillion dollars to that total every year for the foreseeable future.

At some point all of this debt will simply become completely unsustainable.

Of course the major disasters will just inevitably keep on coming.  As Politico has pointed out, major natural disasters seem to just keep on getting bigger, and they seem to be hitting us more frequently than in the past…

The disasters are arriving with greater frequency. Counting Harvey, the U.S. this year has experienced 10 weather-related events each costing $ 1 billion or more. The country averaged fewer than six big-dollar storms, flood, fires and freezes a year between 1980 and 2016, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Between 2012 and 2016, however, weather catastrophes occurred almost twice as often.

I know that I have been writing about these hurricanes a lot in recent weeks, and I promise to get back to focusing on the economy in the days to come.

But it is absolutely imperative that we all begin to understand that something has fundamentally changed.  Our world has become much less stable, and “apocalyptic events” are starting to hit us one after another.

So will things start to calm down in the months ahead?  Please feel free to tell us what you think by posting a comment below…

Could Yesterday’s Total Eclipse Mark a Major Turning Point?

Were you one of the lucky ones able to witness the total eclipse yesterday, as it moved on its west to east path across the middle of the U.S.? Whether you did or not, there’s probably something about this event that you HAVEN’T heard…

My friend Andrew Pancholi, cycle whiz from London and creator of the Market Timing Report, recently told me that yesterday’s path of totality across the U.S. looked eerily similar to the one that occurred at the beginning of the Civil War… and that this could signal America as the starting point to broader civil wars and political restructurings around the globe.

The last similar July 8, 1918 total solar eclipse occurred just as the 1918 Influenza Pandemic was spreading and World War I was starting to wind down after America’s entry.

It’s estimated that 500 million people worldwide were infected with that flu and 20 million died from it. More than 25% of the U.S. population became sick and 675,000 Americans died. That pandemic claimed the lives of more people than did the first World War.

But that’s not all. There was the “eclipse of the century,” on March 7, 1970, which was right near the beginning of the first major stock market crash after the Bob Hope Generation Spending Wave peaked in late 1968. It signaled over a decade of deepening recessions and stock crashes.

To add to this eclipse cycle…

I have a 250-year Revolutionary Cycle that is rolling over us right now. We saw the American Revolution and Protestant Reformation the last time this cycle was in play.

And Andy has an 84-year Populist Movement Cycle that brought us Hitler in 1933, the 1848-1849 European Civil Wars, and the American Revolution. He also has a 28-year Financial Crisis Cycle.

All of which are converging now into late 2017!

So, we should not only see a massive debt and bubble deleveraging ahead, like we did in the 1930s, but also the greatest political and social revolution since the advent of democracy itself.

That’s why I’ve written Zero Hour, out this November.

So, I’ll say it again. This eclipse could mark the start of a very big turning point.

Just look at what’s been going on…

Look at the Evidence at Hand

There is a huge controversy over President Trump’s statements in recent months, especially around the Charlottesville violence and extreme divisiveness between the far right and the far left.

This divisiveness and polarization between left and right has been building steadily since 2004, as I showed in the November 2016 Leading Edge newsletter. But this issue is clearly coming to a head now.

Now, eclipses that cut right across the middle of the U.S. are rare, and have much greater impacts. But all solar eclipses have an impact somewhere.

The next major solar eclipse forecast for the U.S. is a rare double one. The first one hits the western half of the U.S. on October 14, 2023, and the second hits the eastern half on April 8, 2024.

My demographic cycles suggest we should come out of the worst financial depression since the early 1930s around that time!

After that, there’s a total solar eclipse on the cards for August 12, 2045. That’s the same year my Spending Wave for peak Millennial spending – on a 48-year lag – suggests the long slowdown between its two up waves (2023-36 and 2046-56) would bottom.

And to refer back to the American Revolution, there was a total eclipse over America on July 24, 1778. The Battle of Monmouth occurred two days after that eclipse and was a major turning point for Washington in the war.

I’ve even read that the crucifixion of Christ occurred on a total solar eclipse in 33 AD – to the day.

So, let’s sit back and watch what happens over the coming days and months. All the cycles are warning me that things are about to get very interesting.

Yesterday’s eclipse is just another brick in the path leading up to a major crash… one that’s not far ahead. Andy and I both see a likely top by mid- to late October and more volatility between now and then.

Stay tuned,

Harry

The U.S. Military Will Be Conducting ‘A Major Military Exercise’ On The Korean Peninsula During The Solar Eclipse

On August 21st, approximately 25,000 U.S. troops will join “tens of thousands” from the South Korean military to conduct a “major military exercise” that is already triggering threats from North Korea.  Considering the fact that any sort of provocation could cause a nuclear war to erupt on the Korean peninsula, is this really a wise thing to do?  The more research that I do on this upcoming solar eclipse, the stranger things become.  When I first started hearing about this eclipse many months ago, I didn’t pay too much attention, but now after looking into it extensively I do believe that it is going to be quite significant.

And I didn’t even know about this major military exercise that will happen during the eclipse until today.  The following comes from MSN

The U.S. military is preparing to launch a major military exercise with South Korea in coming days, and faces a dangerous balancing act: How do you reassure allies in the region that you are ready for a war with North Korea without provoking an actual conflict in the process?

The annual Ulchi-Freedom Guardian exercise is scheduled for 10 days beginning Aug. 21, and will include about 25,000 U.S. troops along with tens of thousands of South Koreans. The exercise focuses on defending South Korea against an attack from the north, and each year triggers threats and rebukes from North Korea. But it comes at an especially sensitive time now, following the exchange of a series of threats between President Trump and North Korea.

Another thing that we just found out is that meteorologists are warning that a major hurricane could potentially start approaching the east coast of the United States during the time of the solar eclipse.  It has been almost 12 years since a major hurricane made landfall in this country, and so it is very odd that this would be happening all of a sudden.

As I have discussed previously, many believe that the upcoming solar eclipse and the 40 day period that follows may be some type of “warning” for America.  And traditionally, this 40 day period has been a time of repentance for the people of Israel

On August 21, a total solar eclipse will mark a trail from the Northwest US to the Southeast Atlantic Seaboard. The eclipse will occur on the last day of the Hebrew month Av, a day known as Yom Kippur Katan, the “small day of repentance.” The morning after the eclipse, Jews will  begin blowing the shofar every morning for a 40-day period of profound repentance leading up to Yom Kippur. This corresponds to the 40 days Moses was on Mount Sinai atoning for the Jewish people.

It is also very interesting to note that this eclipse comes exactly 33 days before the “Revelation 12 sign” that will appear in the heavens on September 23rd.  The first state that the solar eclipse of August 21st will cross will be Oregon, and many have noted that Oregon is our 33rd state.  And the solar eclipse will finish crossing the nation on the 33rd parallel in the state of South Carolina.

So is that just a coincidence?

It might be.

Another extremely interesting fact is that the very first large city that the path of the eclipse will cross is Salem, Oregon.  Of course Salem is short for Jerusalem, and it turns out that the path of the eclipse will reach Salem at just about the same time that the sun is setting in Jerusalem.

Another coincidence?

Maybe.

Seven years after the eclipse on August 21st, another one will cross our nation in 2024.  Together, the paths of those two eclipses will mark a giant “X” directly over the middle part of the country.  And amazingly, the combined time of the totality of those two eclipses will be seven minutes.

And this eclipse is just the beginning.  Over the subsequent 40 days there are quite a few critical events that people are buzzing about.  The following list comes from one of my previous articles

August 23 – A FEMA exercise known as “EarthEX2017” will simulate “catastrophes such as mega earthquakes, cyber terrorism or high altitude electromagnetic pulse attacks”

An exercise sponsored by FEMA and the U.S. Department of Energy set to take place on August 23 called EarthEX2017 will wargame responses to catastrophes such as mega earthquakes, cyber terrorism or high altitude electromagnetic pulse attacks.

The exercise will simulate a “subcontinent-scale, long duration power outage, with cascading failures of all other infrastructures,” according to the official Earth Ex website.

“Black sky events” are defined as, “Catastrophic occurrences caused by man or nature that bring society to its knees.”

September 1 – This marks the start of FEMA’s annual “National Preparedness Month“.

September 1 – The U.S. State Department’s ban on U.S. citizens traveling into North Korea goes into effect.  Many are concerned that this is yet another sign that we are moving toward war with North Korea.

September 11 – This will be the 16th anniversary of 9/11.

September 20 – Rosh Hashanah begins at sunset.

September 21The UN International Day Of Peace

September 23 – This is the date of what has become known as “the Revelation 12 sign”.  If you are not familiar with this alignment yet, the following is a very brief summary

On September 23rd a unique astronomical alignment of the Sun, Moon, constellation Virgo, constellation Leo, and planets Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, and Venus is going to fulfill this passage from the book of Revelation:

And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.  She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.

September 24 – Very important national elections will be held in Germany.

September 29 – Yom Kippur begins at sunset, and it concludes on September 30th.  Of course September 30th will be the end of a 40 day period that began back on the day of the Great American Eclipse on August 21st.

September 29 – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says that the debt ceiling will be breached on this day if Congress does not raise it by then.

September 30 – If Congress does not pass a budget by the end of this day, there will be a government shutdown just like we witnessed in 2013.

And all of this comes at a time when anger, hatred and racial tension are reaching a fever pitch in this country.

Let us pray for peace both at home and abroad, because at this moment we are rapidly approaching a boiling point.
